Skanska divests its investment in the Sjisjka wind farm in Gällivare, Sweden, for about SEK 160M
Skanska’s engagement in Sjisjka started in 2011 as part of our goal of being a leader in green construction and contributing to a more sustainable society. In addition to Skanska, the Sjisjka wind farm is owned by Jämtkraft.
BlackRock is a leading global asset management firm and renewable energy investor. BlackRock has invested in over 150 wind and solar projects globally. Sjisjka is its third wind project investment in Sweden.
Skanska is one of the leading development and construction companies in the Nordics, with operations in building construction and civil engineering in Sweden, Norway and Finland, and developing residential- and commercial property projects in select home markets. The commercial development stream is also active in Denmark. Skanska offers services in public-private partnerships. Skanska had sales of about 67 billion SEK and more than 15,000 employees in its Nordic operations during 2016.
