Skanska builds school facility in New Hampshire, USA, for USD 44 M, about SEK 360 M

Skanska has signed a contract with the Southern New Hampshire University’s College of Engineering, Technology and Aeronautics to build a new building on their campus in New Hampshire, USA. The contract is worth USD 44 M, about SEK 360 M, which will be included in the US order bookings for the first quarter of 2018.

The new facility will be located on the west side of SNHU’s North River Road campus. It will feature creative work spaces for students; flexible classrooms; laboratory space; a cafe; multiple collaboration spaces, and space to house and operate 2D/3D printing equipment, materials science and robotics machinery. To accommodate the new building, Skanska will also demolish two outdated dormitories.

The facility will be built to LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Silver certification standards.

Construction is underway and scheduled for completion in fall 2019.
