Skanska constructs power plant in the Midwest, USA, for USD 78 M, about SEK 510 M
Skanska has signed an engineering, procurement and construction contract for a co-generation plant with an existing power client in the Midwest region of the United States. The total project value is USD 127 M, about SEK 825 M. Skanska will include its 60 percent share of the project value, USD 78 M, about SEK 510 M, in order bookings for Skanska USA Civil for the third quarter of 2014.
The project, which is a Skanska-led joint venture with Burns & McDonnell, includes the engineering, procurement and construction of a new gas turbine for power generation and a heat recovery steam generator for steam production.
Work commenced in June 2014 with anticipated completion in July 2017.
