Skanska builds power plant in Norway, for NOK 409 M, about SEK 445 M
The project includes construction of a 15,000 cubic meter concrete dam, 5 kilometers of tunnels with cross sections from 20 to 50 square meters and construction of the power station.
Rosten power plant will provide renewable energy production and the annual production of the plant will be about 192 GWh.
Construction will start in October 2014 and the project will be completed in January 2017. The power plant will be in operation as of December 2017.
Skanska Norway focuses on construction and civil engineering operations. The unit has approximately 4,500 employees. In 2013, Skanska Norway reported revenue of SEK 14.3 billion. In Norway, Skanska is also active in the development of residential, commercial properties and public private partnerships (PPP) projects.
