Reconstruction of Cieplińskiego Avenue in Rzeszów
Cieplińskiego Avenue is one of the main roads in Rzeszów. It is used by thousand drivers every day. Two-lane road proved insufficient for transportation needs already in late 1990's. Heavy traffic during rush hours made life difficult for drivers and pedestrians. In 2004, Road and Parks Authority in Rzeszów decided to modernize the road. The main objective of the investment was to improve traffic conditions down town.
Benefits for the community
Upon project completion, Aleja Cieplińskiego capacity nearly doubled. On the other hand, traffic safety was improved by modernized road turns, additional U-turn lanes, new locations for bus stop bays and crosswalks. The investment significantly improved traffic conditions in Rzeszów, i.e. it helped organize the traffic and improve entry and exit from side streets, which sped up the traffic down town.
